Hello

I have read some topics how it is difficult to select an alternative model when the model does not exist in FIDES.

As anyone a suggestion for an SMD Gas Discharge Tube?

Really nothing compares to GDT in the FIDES Guide. Whatever you will choose it will only be a guess.
In such cases the best solution is not to search an altenative model but to deal independantly with the problem for example in the "critical item list".
If you have an idea of the expected reliability (may be ask the supplier), you can choose a model in the FIDES Guide that gives the expected answer. The fuse model is the most versatile model of the FIDES Guide.
